The transformation of Thailand’s economic structure toward a “Value-Based Economy” involves steering the manufacturing sector toward innovative product development, driven by technology and creativity. This includes elevating the service sector into high-value services grounded in knowledge and expertise. This initiative aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically promoting sustained economic growth (SDG 8) and fostering resilient industry and innovation (SDG 9). Innovation is the core driver of this transition, which must begin internally by enhancing innovation to strengthen the industrial, business, agricultural, service, and civil society sectors, as well as all associated networks. Recognizing this importance, the Faculty of Graduate Studies, Mahidol University, has established the Distinguished Innovative Thesis Award for the Fiscal Year 2026.
