MU Grad's Environmental Conservation Project III: Restoring Coastal Ecosystems, Following in the Footsteps of the Late King Bhumibol Adulyadej

On 23 March 2019, the Faculty of Graduate Studies, Mahidol University Graduate Student Council and Mahidol University Student Association hosted "MU Grad's Environmental Conservation Project III, Following in the Footsteps of the Late King Bhumibol Adulyadej," a one-day trip to Khlong Khon Mangrove Forest Conservation Centre in Samut Songkhram province. The Village Headman Theera Dokmaijeen honorably gave a talk on Klong Khon's ecosystems and its history and led the participants on planting mangrove seedlings in the forests. Asst. Prof. Dr. Dumrongkiet Arthan, Student Project Advisor, Asst. Prof. Thanaporn Rungruang, Student Activities Advisor, and all participants who are both foreign and Thai graduate students participated in various activities including planting mangroves. The project's objectives were to raise awareness about restoration and conservation of ecosystems and protect vulnerable shores at Klong Khon.
