Welcoming day 2018

The Faculty of Graduate Studies, in collaboration with the Graduate Student Organization of Mahidol University, set up the project "Welcoming Day 2018: Graduate Students Meet New Friends: The more I know you, the more I love you" on 8th September 2018 (Saturday) at room 322, on the 3rd floor of Mahidol Learning Center, Mahidol University, Salaya, to welcome new graduate students to Mahidol University. On this occasion, new graduate students met new friends from other faculties and learned information about Mahidol University. /p>

Moreover, this project fostered relationships between Thai students and international students through activities, many of which centered around Thai culture. Assistant Professor Dr. Sorachai Srisuma, the Deputy Dean for Student Development presided over this event. Associate Professor Dr. Chakrit Hiranpetcharat (the Deputy Dean for Research and Innovations, Faculty of Public Health), Associate Professor Somsri Daochai (from the Graduate Studies of Mahidol University Alumni Association), and Associate Professor Dr. Jongdee Toim (from the Faculty of Environment and Resource Studies) also attended the event. Activities inside the 'Welcoming Day 2018' included recreational activities, relationship-building activities, 'The more I know you, the more I love you' activities, a Baisri Su Kwan Ceremony, and games in which the winners received souvenirs. There were many Thai students and international students participating in this event. The atmosphere of the event was described as full of love and cozy.
