On July 6, 2021, Professor Patcharee Lertrit, M.D.,Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies, attended as a guest speaker in the THE Unbounded Universities: Asia-Pacific virtual event by Times Higher Education (THE) in partnership with Coursera via Zoom Meeting. The Dean joined in the panel discussion under the topic 'How the skills gap and digital innovation are changing student pathways throughout the Asia-Pacific region'. The discussion was moderated by Phil Baty, Chief knowledge officer of THE and featured the following guest speakers from various institutes:
1) Jeff Maggioncalda, CEO of Coursera
2) Sandeep Sancheti, Provost and vice-chancellor of Marwadi University, India
3) Raja Singham, Managing director of Brickfields Asia College, Malaysia
The discussion focused on what criteria have now emerged as critical for modern student pathways and success in APAC, and how digital teaching and learning can support this. The guest speakers discussed their perspectives and shared their ideas on the subject and also answered questions from the audience together.
