Additional advantages of the programme

Despite the fact that many Thai public and private universities offer study programs in tourism, the majority of them deal with general theories and practices with respect to the discipline in question. On the other hand, the current program offered by Mahidol University integrates tourism management and health sciences, hence the first program of its kind. There two main reasons for the program development. First, the program has been designed in direct response to Mahidol University's mission and identity as the national leading institution in health sciences. Last, since the demand of this type of tourism by both Thai and foreign tourists has been constantly increasing, it is hoped that the current program will play a role in developing competent personnel to satisfy the demand.
