The Faculty of Graduate Studies, Mahidol University attended the Coursera Virtual Round Table Discussion

On May 5, 2022, Professor Patcharee Lertrit, M.D., Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies, and Dr. Aung Win Tun, Deputy Dean for International Relations, attended the Coursera Virtual Round Table Discussion on "Modernizing Curriculum to Build World-Class University Education in Thailand" via Zoom Meetings. The discussion was led by Eklavya Bhave (Regional Director, Coursera-Asia Pacific), Bibin Shivas (Regional Director, Coursera for Campus, Customer Success), Professor Patcharee Lertrit, M.D., Ph.D. (Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies), and Professor Supot Teachavorasinskun, D.Eng. (Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University). The university leaders of Thailand and faculty members from several Thai universities also attended.

The discussion focused on the challenges universities face in modernizing their curriculum, strategies to increase the competitiveness of Thai universities in Asia and beyond, skills that Thai graduates need to succeed in the workplace and where are they currently lacking, and how industry and university collaboration can improve access to world-class content. The attendees discussed their perspectives and shared ideas together on the subject.
