FGS's New Year's Celebration Party Welcoming 2020

On 27^th December 2019, the Faculty of Graduate Studies (FGS) hosted a New Year's Celebration Party at the FGS Building, Fl. 1, Mahidol University (Salaya Campus). Prof. Dr. Patcharee Lertrit, M.D., the FGS' Dean, who presided over the opening ceremony, the FGS' administrators, the faculty and staff, attended the merit-making ceremony offering alms to the 9 Buddhist monks, joining in prayers as the monks chanted, and receiving splashes of holy water from one of the monks. The holy water was also splashed on to the offices to welcome good fortune and good health. The event also welcomed honorable guests including former FGS' deans led by Acting President of Mahidol University Prof. Banchong Mahaisavariya, M.D. The event was a success, and the guests enjoyed the luncheon party, with fun activities, such as "2019: The Year in Review" video presentation, fancy dress competition under the theme "cowboys", and entertaining games and lucky draw with prizes. It was such a memorable occasion indeed.
