Additional advantages of the programme

The Doctor of Philosophy programme in Nursing at Mahidol University is a collaborative programme between the Ramathibodi School of Nursing, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital , The Faculty of Nursing, and foreign universities in the U.S. ,Canada and Australia. Students have a chance to study in collaborating institutions for one year.

Admission Requirements

								   
											
							 I. Qualifications of Applicants in Study
Plan 1.1

The applicant must:


1) hold a Masters degree in nursing or in fields related to nursing with Study 
Plan A, which includes finishing a nursing theory course of at least 2 credit
 hours and a theory course in the substantive area of at least 2 credit hours; 
have experience in conducting research and have at least 1 publication in 
a peer-reviewed international journal and at least 1publication in a peer-reviewed national journal as the first author or corresponding author, but not 
the publication for graduation; hold a registered nurse license (or equivalent) 
in his/her own country; and have a minimum grade point average (GPA) 3.50
 of 4.00 scale at the Masters degree level;


2) pass an English proficiency examination with a TOEFL-ITP score (administered by Mahidol University) of at least 500, TOEFL-iBT of at least 61, IELTS score of at least 5.0, or a criterion set by the Faculty of Graduate Studies, Mahidol University;


3) applicants who have qualifications other than the above criteria may apply as per the consideration of the administrative committee and the dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies.

II. Qualifications of Applicants in Study

The applicant must:

 applicants who had graduated with a Masters degree in nursing with Study
 Plan B must have experience in conducting research and have at least 1
 publication in a peer-reviewed international or national journal as the first
 author or corresponding author, but not the publication for graduation; hold a
 registered nurse license (or equivalent) in his/her own country; and have a minimum grade point average (GPA) 3.50 of 4.00 scale at the Masters degree level;
