1. To explain the concept of epidemiology and describe patterns of health conditions or health events. 2. To describe the distribution of diseases and the relationship between factors and diseases of interest. 3. To explain the advantages and disadvantages of each type of epidemiological study and to design an epidemiological study suitable for the research question. 4. To explain the pattern and the reasons for the bias in the results that may have occurred in each epidemiological study. 5. To apply the concepts of epidemiology and an epidemiological study model to address various public health problems.

1. ผู้เรียนสามารถอธิบายแนวคิดของวิทยาการระบาด และพรรณนารูปแบบของสภาวะสุขภาพ หรือเหตุการณ์ที่เกิดขึ้นได้อย่างเหมาะสม 2. ผู้เรียนสามารถคำนวณและอธิบายลักษณะการกระจายตัวของโรคและความสัมพันธ์ของปัจจัยและโรคที่สนใจ 3. ผู้เรียนสามารถอธิบายข้อดีและข้อด้อยของการศึกษาทางวิทยาการระบาดแต่ละรูปแบบได้ และออกแบบการศึกษาทางวิทยาการระบาดได้เหมาะสมกับคำถามการวิจัย 4. ผู้เรียนสามารถอธิบายรูปแบบ และสาเหตุของความลำเอียงของผลการศึกษาที่อาจเกิดขึ้นในการศึกษาทางวิทยาการระบาดแต่ละรูปแบบ 5. ผู้เรียนสามารถประยุกต์แนวคิดของวิทยาการระบาด และรูปแบบการศึกษาทางวิทยาการะบาดเพื่อแก้ไขปัญหาทางสาธารณสุขด้านต่างๆ

สอบ

1. Midterm Examination 35% (Measurement, Cross-sectional, Case-Control, Cohort study) 2. Final Examination 35% (Experimental study, Bias Confounding, Surveillance, Screening) 3. Assignment 20% 4. Class attention 10% Required to attend at least 80% of the total course duration. Note: The course is taught in Thai language. However, some teaching and learning materials are in English.

1. สอบกลางภาค 35% (การวัดทางระบาดวิทยา, Cross-sectional, Case-Control, Cohort study ) 2. สอบปลายภาค 35% (Experimental study, Bias Confounding, สอบสวนโรค, การคัดกรองโรค) 3. รายงาน 20% 4. เข้าชั้นเรียน 10%กำหนดให้เข้าเรียนไม่ต่ำกว่า 80% ของระยะเวลาเรียนทั้งหมด หมายเหตุ: หลักสูตรจัดการเรียนการสอนเป็นภาษาไทย แต่มีเอกสารที่ต้องศึกษาเป็นบทความวิชาการภาษาอังกฤษ และเอกสารที่ใช้ประกอบการสอบบางหัวข้อเป็นภาษาอังกฤษ
